British Pub Confederation call on Paul Newby to “do the right thing” and stand down as Pubs Adjudicator

The British Pub Confederation have written to Paul Newby, asking him to step down from the position of Pubs Code Adjudicator as licensees will not accept him in the role. The Confederation represents thirteen organisations across the pub sector, including the vast majority of licensee representative bodies in the pub sector, and through them more publicans than any other organisation in the UK. British Pub Confederation calls for Adjudicator to be replaced

The British Pub Confederation have written to Sajid Javid MP, strongly criticising the appointment of Paul Newby as the Pub Code Adjudicator. Mr Newby is a Chartered Surveyor, and a director of and shareholder in Fleuret’s, a company which is directly employed by the very pub companies the Pubs Code Adjudicator must now regulate.
